GREG WILSON

Principal

Jason Kaplan serves as an Advisor to Alpental Capital.  Jason has managed and participated in approximately $600 million of senior housing, student housing, multi-family, retail, and hospitality development projects comprising over 2.1 million square feet in Colorado, Missouri, Illinois, and Arizona with some projects including complicated capital structures such as EB-5 and Tax Increment Financing (“TIF”).  Jason’s restaurant and hospitality experience in Colorado include development and ownership of the Source, Source Hotel, Zeppelin Station Office & Food Hall, Safta, Oak at Fourteenth and Brider on Platte.  His commercial real estate experience also includes the development of a 3,000-acre industrial, mixed-use project in Raleigh, North Carolina and a 1,500-acre hospitality and multi-family project west of Charlotte, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

JASON KAPLAN

Partner

Jason Kaplan is a Partner at Alpental Capital.  He has managed and participated in approximately $750 million of senior housing, student housing, multi-family, retail and hospitality development projects comprising over 2.2 million square feet in Colorado, Missouri, Illinois and Arizona.  His recent restaurant and hospitality experience in Colorado include development and ownership of the Source Hotel & Market Hall, Zeppelin Station, Safta, Oak at Fourteenth, Brider and the Walnut Street Hotel.  


Currently, Jason is developing a 2,300-acre mixed-use master planned community in Raleigh, North Carolina and previously completed a housing and hospitality development of approximately 1,500 acres west of Charlotte, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.


Jason relocated to Colorado from St. Louis, Missouri in 1997 to attend the University of Colorado-Boulder.

GREG WILSON

Managing Partner

Greg Wilson the Managing Partner of Alpental Capital.  He is responsible for executing the firm’s investment strategy, including deal sourcing, investor relations, and portfolio management.


Greg has transacted on over $2 billion of hotels and resorts with various institutional, family office, and high net worth capital partners.  Prior to founding Alpental, Greg was Senior Vice President of Acquisitions at Schulte Hospitality Group where he oversaw all investment activities, growing the portfolio from 67 hotels to 157 hotels in 35 states and the U.K.  


Before Schulte, he opened Fifteen Group’s Denver office, managing the firm’s acquisition, development, and asset management efforts in the Mountain Region, along with investments in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Miami.  Prior to Fifteen Group, he led acquisitions and asset management at Restore Utah, a joint venture with Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group and McKinley Capital Partners to acquire $100 million of single and multifamily properties across the Wasatch Front.  

 

Greg holds a B.S. in Business Management from the Marriott School at Brigham Young University.

ANTHONY LOEFFLER

Partner

Anthony Loeffler is a Partner at Alpental Capital.  He has an extensive background in commercial real estate investment, operations and development.  He previously founded Slipstream Properties, a multi-family investment and development company focusing on Colorado’s Front Range cities of Denver and Colorado Springs. With Slipstream, Anthony concentrates the company’s focus on undervalued assets and areas with pent-up rental demand.  Founded in 2010, Anthony and Slipstream have acquired and built over 2,100 apartments across 22 projects. They have raised over $72 million in equity and currently manage a multifamily portfolio valued at over $300 million.


Prior to his experience with Slipstream, Anthony managed the development of institutional sized multifamily developments for JLB Partners and Silverstone Communities in the Front Range.


Anthony is a native of the Denver area and received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Spanish from Hamilton College in New York.

SCOTT MAHONEY

Partner

Scott Mahoney is a Partner at Alpental Capital.  Scott also serves on the Executive Council of Aviditi Advisors, a boutique advisory firm catering to private equity general partners - focused on capital formation, liquidity solutions, placement, secondary, capital markets, and principal activities.   Additionally, he is a member of Tribeca Early Stage Partners, a FinTech focused VC network of 50 experienced finance professionals, capital market entrepreneurs, and technologists who invest in and advise early stage FinTech companies.  


Most recently, Scott was the Deputy Chief Trading Officer of Millennium Management.  In this role, he spent most of his time working with the quantitative trading teams at Worldquant and Worldquant Millennium Quantitative Strategies.  


Prior to joining Millennium, Scott was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse.  He served as the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Product Development for Alternatives Investments globally, and the Chief Executive Officer of Asset Management Finance (AMF).  Scott sat on the Executive Committee of Asset Management and the BODs of Credit Suisse Asset Management, LLC.

 
He holds a B.S.E. in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

COURTNEY WILSON

Director of Finance

Courtney Wilson is the Director of Finance at Alpental Capital. She is primarily responsible for overseeing financial reporting on Alpental’s existing investments and day-to-day asset management.

Prior to joining Alpental Capital, Courtney led financial analytics at Louisville, Kentucky-based Schulte Hospitality Group, implementing portfolio-level hotel reporting.  At Schulte she also assisted the acquisitions team in the underwriting and execution of new hotel investments.  Previously, she oversaw regulatory capital and credit risk for loans and commitments at Goldman Sachs.  Courtney had responsibility for preparing internal and external regulatory information in accordance with the Basel and Standardized ratios.

Raised in Colorado, Courtney holds a B.S. in Business and Finance from the Marriott School at Brigham Young University.
